How to Turn Your Work Experience Into a Simple Offer
What an offer actually is
An offer is a single, specific promise: I help [who] do [what] so they can [result]. That is it. Before a website, before a logo, before any technology, you need that sentence. Most women who feel stuck are not missing skills — they are missing a clear offer.
Step 1: Name the transformation
Think about what people thank you for. Not the tasks you did, but the relief or clarity you provided. Did you make complicated things simple? Did you calm anxious situations? Did you finish what others abandoned? That transformation is the heart of your offer.
Step 2: Choose one audience
Resist the urge to help everyone. A clear offer names a specific person — women returning to work, new managers, small-business owners, retirees starting something new. When you speak to one person directly, they recognize themselves.
Step 3: Make it small
Your first offer should feel almost too simple. A one-page guide, a 30-minute review, a short email course. Small offers are easier to finish, easier to explain, and easier for someone to say yes to. You can always grow it later.
Step 4: Use AI to draft and refine
Once you have the idea, use AI to test the wording. Ask it to rewrite your offer sentence five different ways. Ask it what questions a beginner would have. Ask it to draft the one page that explains your offer. You keep the judgment; AI gives you a faster first draft.
Step 5: Write the one page
Everything you need to start fits on one page: the offer sentence, who it is for, what is included, the price, and how to begin. That page is enough to make your first sale. Do not build more than that until someone has paid you.
