Start With AI: Your First 30 Days

Most introductions to AI assume you want to become technical. This one assumes you do not.

Over four short lessons you will learn what AI is genuinely good at, how to ask for what you need, how to keep your own voice in the result, and how to build a practice you can keep for thirty days without it taking over your life.

What you will be able to do

  • Describe what AI is good at — and where it should stay out of the way
  • Write a four-part request that gets a useful first draft
  • Edit an AI draft so it sounds like you
  • Keep a 20-minute daily practice for 30 days

This program provides education and tools. Results vary based on individual effort, offer, market, experience, and other factors. No income is guaranteed.

Lesson 1 of 4

What AI is actually good at

Where it helps, where it gets in the way, and the division of labour that works.

Listen to this lesson

Before you open a single tool, here is one sentence that explains almost everything about how to use AI well.

AI is a fast, tireless assistant that has read a great deal, and remembers none of you.

Both halves matter.

The first half is the good news. It has read more than you or I ever will. It is excellent at first drafts, at summaries, and at taking your messy notes and putting them into some kind of order. It is remarkably good at giving you ten versions of the same sentence so you can choose the one that sounds like you.

The second half is the part people skip. It does not remember you. It does not know your customers, your standards, or what you actually meant. It will sound confident while being wrong. That is not a flaw you can fix — it is simply what it is.

So the division of labour is simple: AI does the first pass, you do the judgement.

Nothing leaves your hands until you have read it and decided it sounds like you. Not a paragraph, not an email, not a caption.

You are not learning to be technical. You are learning where to stand.
